"General Activation" vs. "Channel-Specific Activation"

Think of General Activation and Channel-Specific Activation as two security checks that an article must pass before export. Both activation levels must be set for an article to be exported.

•General Activation is the global “on switch” for an article. Setting it to “Yes” confirms that the article’s data is complete and it is ready to be sold. An article will never be exported to any channel if the general activation is not set.

•Channel-Specific Activation is the second step where you decide if specific channels should sell the article. If the general activation is set, but no channels are selected, the article data are not exported to any channel.
