Setting up Amazon Prime For Merchants

Before you can participate in the Amazon program "Prime by merchant", Amazon has to activate the interface "Merchant Fulfillment API" for you. After proper configuration in TB.One, this interface is used to retrieve shipping labels and tracking codes and to confirm the dispatch of the goods.

ATTENTION:
You must use one of the following shipment providers for Amazon Prime:

DHL

DPD

1. Create a Shipping Template in the Amazon Seller Central and Configure Your Seller Account

You have to create one or more Shipping Templates in the Amazon Seller Central. TB.One uses this template to flag products for shipping via Amazon Prime.

Configure your Amazon Seller Account to export Prime information:

oIn Amazon, go to "Orders > Order reports" and find the section "Add or remove order report columns".

oActivate "Is Prime?" and "Is premium order?".

2. Mark Products/Articles for Amazon Prime

You must identify all products you want to sell via Amazon Prime in TB.One. Choose one of the following ways to do this:

Assigning an attribute to the products (recommended)

Assigning a brand to the products

Assigning a cluster to the products

Assigning an internal category to the products

Assigning a component to the products

Creating a new shipping type ("Basic data > Shipping > Shipping types") and assigning it to the products

3. Assignment to the Amazon Shipping Template

When you have created the Shipping Templates for Amazon Prime in the Seller Central (step 1) and marked your products for Amazon Prime (step 2), contact your Tradebyte Solution Delivery Manager. Your Solution Delivery Manager will establish the connection between the Amazon Shipping Template and the TB.One property used to mark products for Amazon Prime. You can check the configuration at "Channels > [Your Amazon channel] > Settings".

TIP:
Your Solution Delivery Manager will also assign a default value as a fallback, in case there is a product that does not have the property that marks products for Amazon Prime. In this case, the default shipping configuration from the Amazon Seller Central will be used.

4. Configure a Number Range for Amazon Prime

You need a shipping number range to create shipping IDs/labels for Amazon Prime. Configure number ranges at "Basic data > Shipping > Number ranges".

Configure the number range as follows:

FIELD

DESCRIPTION

Name

Enter a meaningful name for the number range, so you can easily identify it as the Amazon Prime number range.

Type

Select "Amazon Merchant Fulfillment".

Shipping Service ID

Select one of the keys that were defined between Amazon and the carrier.

Parcel dimensions

The size of the package (consult your Tradebyte contact for the current list).

Dimensions (unit)

Select the unit for your package dimensions. Amazon Prime supports "centimeters". Adjust "length", "width", and "height" accordingly.

Weight (value)

Enter the maximum weight of the parcel (in grams or ounces).

Weight (unit)

Select the unit in which you have provided the maximum weight (gram or ounce).

Delivery type

Pick a delivery type. At this time, DPD only supports the delivery type "DeliveryConfirmationWithoutSignature" with pickup by carrier.

Carrier pickup

Select "yes". The carrier picks up the parcel at your site.

5. Configure the Number Range Assignment

Go to "Channels > [Your Amazon Channel] >Settings" to assign the number range configured in step 4 to Amazon Prime orders. Based on these settings, labels and ship codes are generated when importing Amazon orders into TB.One.

Under "Number range assignment", define which number range is used for each type of order. You may need to use multiple assignment bases to cover all types of orders you process.

ATTENTION:
The returns logic and the creation of the return labels are still based upon the DHL returns number range! If you have not provided a DHL returns number range for Amazon, return codes and return labels are NOT created automatically.
