eBay UK - Free Returns for Motor Parts and Accessories

Motor parts and motor accessories sold on eBay UK must offer a minimum 30-day, cost-free, no-reason-required return policy.

This applies to articles that fulfill all of the following criteria:

•Category Motor Parts and Accessories

•Article location: UK

•Buyer location: UK

•Article price over £10 (excluding postage)

•Condition: “New” or “New - other”

•Listing format: "Buy it now" (fixed price)

How to Configure the Time Frame for Returns?

You have two methods to set up these return windows. Choose the option that fits your current setup:

A) Configure via eBay Business Policies (Recommended)

If you are using eBay Business Policies, update the returns policy directly in the eBay backend.

B) Configure in TB.One (Alternative)

If you have not configured TB.One for the use with eBay Business Policies, you must configure the time frame for returns in TB.One. Do the following:

1.Open the channel settings for eBay UK ("Channels > eBay.co.uk > Settings") and switch to the tab "Returns settings".

2.Choose 30 or 60 days as the default value.

TIP:
Alternatively, you can assign different time frames for returns by selecting an "Assignment base" (for example, an attribute). Based on the assignment base's value present at the product, a different returns time frame will be used.

For example, you can choose "brand" as the base, and then assign the 30-day return rule only to the specific brands that sell motor parts, leaving your other products unaffected.
