Creating Package Templates

Package templates can only be created manually.

The same package properties often apply to many articles. In the menu "Basic data > Shipping > Package templates" you can, therefore, create package templates which can be applied to many (or all) articles. Open the tab "Pages" in the left navigation bar and click on "Create new template" to open the editing window. In the field "Designation", enter an easily identifiable title for the template that clearly shows for which articles it is intended. Fill in the fields for length, width, height and weight, and confirm your entries by clicking "Save". Existing templates can be changed or deleted at any time.

There are multiple ways of assigning package templates to articles: At the article itself the template can be selected on the tab "Article data" in the section "Dimensions" via a drop-down menu. Package templates may also be assigned via the master article, the bulk editing tool, via clusters or internal categories.

ATTENTION:
Note that the indicated dimensions are not the article's, but the package's dimensions. Article measurements are assigned via components.
