Default Settings for EAN Validation

admin_standardwerte_e

In the section "EAN Validation" at "Admin > Default values", you can determine how strictly EAN guidelines should be enforced (EANs are numerical, consist of 13 digits, and contain the correct check digit). TB.One will always check whether an EAN is unique. If it is mandatory to provide an EAN for a channel (this is the norm), incorrect EANs are automatically either highlighted as warnings in the SolutionCenter's error list or are excluded from exports entirely.

The section "EAN Validation" in this menu only affects manual article creation. You can decide whether a warning should appear when a faulty EAN is entered (warn), or if saving a faulty EAN should be impossible (block). Do not use in-house EANs or EANs from the public selection.
