Requirements

Maintain your master data according to the requirements specified in the channel-specific manual. The channel-specific settings for Zalando ZSS correspond to those of other Zalando channels. The main difference lies in the order processing and the subsequent shipping and returns handling: With Zalando ZSS, you do not ship directly to the end customer. Instead, you are obligated to send the goods to your pre-selected Zalando's Outbound Parcel Sorting Center (OPSC) in Hamburg (DE) or Lahr (DE) or Verona (IT) within 48 hours. The delivery to end customers is handled by Zalando ZSS.

ATTENTION:
Zalando provides a separate set of guidelines for the ZSS Outbound Shipping Process. It contains instructions for shipping pallets, Mother Parcels and Baby Parcels. Comply with these guidelines when shipping to the OPSC.

TIP:
Contact your Solution Delivery Manager to configure the shipping number range for Zalando ZSS.

Order & return management

When your articles are ordered at Zalando, TB.One receives an order file with the shipping and return labels as well as the Zalando delivery documents. The Zalando delivery slip contains the delivery slip, return label and outbound label.

ATTENTION:
Shipping and return codes are created automatically. Do not update for shipment and return information.

An order from Zalando is a shipping prompt. Find your orders in the menu "Orders > Order list". By default, the list is filtered for open orders. To see orders of a particular channel, please set the filter "distribution channel" accordingly.

TIP:
To see pending, i.e. unconfirmed, orders, you have to either set the filter "Status" to "pending" or select the menu item "Reservations". For pending orders, the tab "Delivery & Cancellation" shows that the order has not been released yet, and there can be no delivery. If the order is confirmed by Zalando, the reservation is deleted, and a "regular" order is created.

Once you receive an order, you are obligated to ship the labeled parcels to the Zalando's Outbound Parcel Sorting Center (OPSC) you have selected in advance (Hamburg (DE) or Lahr (DE) or Verona(IT)), within 48h of receiving the delivery documents (delivery slip, return label and outbound label).

ATTENTION:
If you are using the dropshipment model, please ensure that you update the order status in TB.One to 'Shipped' once the mother parcel or pallet has been dispatched to the Zalando OPSC. This step is crucial for reliable live order processing and tracking, enabling Zalando to share the tracking link with your end customer and ensuring accurate billing for the delivery service.

Once your delivery is recorded at the OPSC hub, the parcels are sorted and forwarded to the carrier's hub for delivery.

ATTENTION:
You don't need to transmit return messages for Zalando ZSS when returns arrive in your warehouse. In case of a return, the parcel is returned to the OPSC Hub and Zalando reports the return to TB.One. These reports do not trigger stock changes. If the returned articles are ready for re-sale, update the stock numbers.

Label printing

As soon as Zalando receives an order, the shipping and return labels are automatically generated along with your order data in TB.One. Regardless of your process, tracking codes for the shipping and return labels are always generated automatically. Retrieve the label along with the order data as follows:

Manually

Documents such as order sheets and pick lists are configured in the menu "Admin > System settings > Documents". There, activate the automatic output of PDF documents. Alternatively, you can use TB.Print to print the shipping labels.
