Configuring the Application of Clusters

The categorisation via clusters can be configured at "Admin > Import > Settings".

admin_import_e

The two lower options refer to direct import without clusters, the top option refers to the assignment of internal categories and channel categories via clusters (both during import and when manually starting an "assignment run"). You may set the assignment to "never", "if no assignment exists", "only at creation", or "always" (with or without secondary categories).

ATTENTION:
Properties that were assigned via clusters, internal categories and/or attribute sets cannot be removed by deleting the respective property from the cluster, category, or attribute set. To remove properties from many articles simultaneously, filter the article list and use the bulk editing feature. The same is true for secondary categories.

However, changing a primary category via the cluster/internal category will cause the corresponding products' primary categories to be changed during the next assignment run.
