The attribute (or attribute value) will be deleted from all products that are currently filtered and have this attribute stored. This process may take some time depending on the number of products.
Deletion via Import
1. Adjust import settings
•Go to "Admin > import > settings".
•Ensure that the option "Attributes" in the section "Delete content that is no longer delivered during import" is active. If it isn't, activate it.
•Optional: If you want to delete only a certain attribute value and not the entire attribute, select the “Attribute values” option instead
2. Prepare and import your file
•Create an import file that includes all product attributes that should remain on the products. The import setting you adjusted in the previous step will delete all other product attributes (or values) that are not listed in the import file.
•You can limit the import to the products from which the attribute and value is to be removed, but ensure that all other product attributes and values are included in the file.
•Validate your file.
•Import your file.
•The import will now delete all product attributes and values for the products that were included in the file and keep the product attributes and values that are still in the file.
•To avoid unintentional removal of product attributes or their values in the future, we recommend that you deactivate the import setting from step one after the successful import and only reactivate it if necessary.
Q&A
Can I delete an attribute from only some products?

What happens if I delete a attribute that is used for value mapping?
Deleting an attribute used for the value mapping an cause errors in the product export to the channels. Exercise caution and adjust your product variants accordingly.
