This guide shows how to delete product components in TB.One. Learn how to efficiently remove components from a single product, multiple products, or through imports.
Manual Deletion for a Single Product
1.Open the product you want to modify in TB.One.
2.Go to the "Product Description" and scroll to the "Product components" section.
3.Click the red cross next to the component you want to delete. This action is labeled "delete product component".
4.Save your changes at the bottom of the product page.
Manual Deletion for a Single Product
1.Go to the article list in TB.One.
2.Filter your articles if needed.
3.In the "page actions" section on the left sidebar, click on "bulk editing".
4.Acknowledge the warning in the popup and click "next".
5.Expand the "Categorisation" dropdown.
6.Check the box in front of "Add/update/delete product component (property)".
7.Select the component you want to delete in the first dropdown.
8.In the last dropdown, click on "delete".
9.Click on "apply changes".
The component will be deleted from all products that are currently filtered and have this component stored. This process may take some time depending on the number of products.
Optional: As soon as the product component has been removed from all products in TB.One, you can optionally delete the component completely under “Basic data > Properties ” Components" if it is no longer required in the future. To do this, click on the corresponding component. The “Delete” option should now be displayed next to the “Save” button. If not, then the component is still in use on at least one product. To check this, look in the “Usage” column on the left-hand side and click on the magnifying glass to see the list of products that still use this component.
Deletion via Import
1. Adjust import settings
•Go to "Admin > import > settings".
•Ensure that the option "Product components" in the section "Delete content that is no longer delivered during import" is active. If it isn't, activate it.
2. Prepare and import your file
•Create an import file that includes all product components that should remain on the products. The import setting you adjusted in the previous step will delete all other product components that are not listed in the import file.
•You can limit the import to the products from which the component is to be removed, but ensure that all other product components are included in the file.
•Validate your file.
•Import your file.
•The import will now delete all product components for the products that were included in the file and keep the product components that are still in the file.
•To avoid unintentional removal of product components in the future, we recommend that you deactivate the import setting from step one after the successful import and only reactivate it if necessary.
