How to Configure Product Designations (Common Noun / Proper Name)

To be easily identifiable, each product requires a name. In its system settings, TB.One offers the option to split the product designation into common noun and proper name. If your source system can provide the data separated, Tradebyte recommends this setting since some channels prefer to receive product designations in two fields. TB.One can merge the two fields during export, but automatic separation is not possible.

ATTENTION:
The product name must not contain a brand. Brand information has to be maintained in a separate field titled "brand". Detailed properties (e.g. "Material: 100% cotton") also cannot be part of the name.

For reasons of compatibility, you should avoid special characters (&, ", ', -, etc.). Many channels limit the product name to 100 characters while TB.One allows a maximum of 256 characters.

For many channels, you can use TB.One's title configurator to create title profiles. This feature allows you to combine various pieces of information you have maintained in the software into a title during export. This way you can configure the product designations to match the channel's requirements.
