PRELIMINARY INFORMATION

•New to TB.One? Our webinars help you find your way around the software.

•Provide your product data in German. English is also acceptable, but the title and track listing must be provided in German. Exceptions are only possible upon consultation with AboutYou.

•Go to the menu "Basic data > Storage > Warehouse settings" and check your settings for the channel (for more information, click here).

•The warehouse must be placed at the level of the main channel.
 

ATTENTION:
The sale of products containing perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) is prohibited in France since the 1st of January of 2026. PFAS is commonly used in waterproof or stain-resistant finishes and cosmetics, please audit your articles on French platforms to ensure they are compliant.

B-01: Payments

Find your payment methods at "Basic data > Payment > Payment methods".

Payments are managed by AboutYou. When the channel is activated or, at the latest, when the first order comes in, a payment method with the channel name is created automatically. For the export to an ERP-system, you can freely select an export key.

D-01: Product designation

•The length of the product designation is not limited.

ATTENTION:

Strictly adhere to the requirements of the title profile. .This defines the product title as "common noun 'proper name'", i.e. common noun + proper name with apostrophes (e.g. Outdoor jacket 'Reinhold'). To avoid jeopardizing the export to the channel, you shouldn't modify the title profile. If you would like to do so it is absolutely necessary to consult your Tradebyte Solution Delivery Manager beforehand

D-02: Special text

AboutYou does not use the field "Special text".

D-03: Description

The length of the product description is not limited.

ATTENTION:
Usually, the product texts at AboutYou address customers informally, using the German word "Du", but neutral texts are also accepted (i.e. texts avoiding both "Du" and "Sie"). If your product descriptions do not meet the channel's requirements, you may create alternate texts as a "Channel language" at "Articles > Translation".

•Product descriptions for AboutYou are only mandatory in the categories "Sport" and "Kids".

•For all other categories, product descriptions are recommended, as the channel may enrich the products with the information contained therein. The channel recommends:

•Length: No restriction; around 50 words recommended.

•Structure: 2 to 3 complete sentences with an emotional ending; no bullet points.

•Content: Elaborate on the unique selling proposition, mention the product name and the brand once per text, enhance the images' usefulness: haptic properties, details that are difficult to see on pictures, if the colour is a variant dimension do not mention colour or pattern in the description.

TIP:
The list items are used as the “bullet points” required by AboutYou. AboutYou prefers the following criteria for bullet points:

•3 to 8 bullet points

•1 to 3 words per bullet point

•Unique selling point first, followed by product features, e.g., material, design, additional details

ATTENTION: Bullet points not exported to AboutYou Seller Center
The AboutYou Seller Center does not support bullet points.

D-04: Components

Use the recommended components listed under "Product Properties - Components" in the article "Product Description".

•An export key must be specified for the variant-defining components.

Products containing perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are banned in Denmark and France.

If you are connected to the Danish and French country channels of <%CHANNEL%>, you are required to specify whether your products contain these substances or not.

Create a new component for PFAS information and assign it to all products you sell through these channels.

This component must be assigned via the value mapping of the channel property “PFAS Information” with the following values:

•“PFAS-free” – Does not contain PFAS substances

•“Contains PFAS” – Contains PFAS substances

D-05: Attributes

Use the recommended components listed under "Product Properties - Attributes" in the article "Product Description".
For AboutYou, provide the following components/attributes in addition to the properties recommended for master data:

•Category-specific properties, e.g., cup size, length in inches, fit, model size, care instructions, pattern/texture, collar/neckline shape.

•Material: Required; percentage. Multiple materials must be separated by commas; multiple material types (e.g., outer material and lining) are separated by a semicolon.

•Note that you must provide your values for AboutYou in German:

E-01: Article numbers

Provide the following article numbers:

•Article number

•EAN

•Manufacturer's article number (Optional for AboutYou FbAY)

E-02: Shipping information

Provide the following shipping information:

•Pack sizes (height, length, width in cm)

•Weight

•Country of origin and Intrastat category

ATTENTION:
At AboutYou customs tariff numbers (8-digit HS code)/Intrastat numbers (max. 8 digits) and weight in kg (net weight/mass (kg)) are mandatory for the foreign channels while the weight in kg is obligatory for every sub-channel. In addition, special units are required for a number of goods (mostly in the form of ("piece" (including lingerie sets) and "pair" (including shoes/socks)). For goods in which a special unit is to be specified, please also maintain the information "Pack" with a quantitative specification in the value mapping. The designation of the special unit itself is not to be specified (example: for "3 pieces", the numerical value "3" must be specified).

E-03: Variant dimensions

•AboutYou does not limit the number or type of variant dimensions.

•Size and/or color are recommended

F-01: Media

•Provide images in a commonly used format such as png or jpg.

•Number: min. 1 bust image

•Size: min. 1.500 x 2.000 px, 2:4 aspect ratio

•Resolution: 96 DPI

•Stack images are not permitted

•1 bust images (frontal, crop-out) is mandatory

•1-2 bust images, 2-4 model images, and 1-2 detail images

•Consult the AboutYou image guide for further information.

G-01: Carrier

•Ship with DHL or Hermes in Germany, or use another carrier from the list in other countries

•You can define surcharges for your AboutYou shipping types at "Basic data > Prices > Surcharges/Discounts".

G-02: Delivery note

You cannot configure the delivery notes for AboutYou.

G-03: Invoice

You don't need to print invoices for AboutYou. The channel sends the invoices to the customers. Print invoices for your own records only.

G-04: Proposed return code

Dispatch advices you forward to the channel must include a proposed return code for the return shipment label.

To that end, do one of the following:

a)configure a number range in TB.One.

b)if you manage orders outside TB.One, configure your system so that it forwards the return code to TB.One (CSV/XML: "IDCODE_RETURN_PROPOSAL").

c)manually enter return codes during order processing.
Activate the required input field in the menu "Admin > System settings > Order processing" under "Manual input Return code proposal". The field ("Ret.-Code Prop.") will then be displayed for each order on the tab "Delivery & Cancellation".

G-05: Delivery documents in package

Delivery note, invoice, return label

ATTENTION:
If you ship an order with multiple items in a single package and a single tracking number (=Shipdcode, tracking key), you must report this in a single dispatch advice to AboutYou. Always report items with the same tracking number at the same time in TB.One. You cannot report items with the same tracking number at a later time. Otherwise, the notification will be rejected by the channel. If you ship an order with multiple items in multiple packages and thus multiple tracking numbers, each tracking number must be reported in its own delivery notification.

•Please note that only one delivery notification can be processed per tracking number. The different notifications (for the different tracking numbers) can be submitted at different times.

•It is not possible to change or delete delivery notifications once they have already been submitted to AboutYou.de. Subsequent changes cannot be processed by the channel

G-06: Refund deduction

At AboutYou you always reimburse customers for returned articles in full. If you have complaints about the condition of a returned article, consult the channel directly.

G-07: Return causes

To create return causes and states, go to "Basic data > Returns > Return causes" and "Basic data > Returns > Return states" .

AboutYou processes the return causes and states you transmit. Map them to the return causes and states used by the channel by assigning a key.

X-01: Size grid

For AboutYou, you have to map size grids to ensure the correct sizes are shown in the shop. For detailed instructions, click here.

X-02: Base prices

Provide base prices (price per kg, price per liter, etc.) for all articles that legally require you to do so.
 

X-03: Categories

For a complete list of all categories, go to "Channels > [Your AboutYou channel] > Categories".
Channels change their categories from time to time. Any major changes will be announced in TB.One. Outdated categories are highlighted with a red icon. Move all affected products to valid categories.
For AboutYou, categories are always assigned at the lowest level of the categorization hierarchy. You can ensure this by marking unauthorized categories as “Unassignable” under “Channels >AboutYou Main Channel > Categories.”

X-04: Value mapping

Map at the category level for AboutYou. The available channel values may differ from category to category.

TIP:
Pack: For certain types of merchandise, the channel requires specific units of measure (typically “piece” (e.g., lingerie sets) and “pair” (e.g., shoes/socks)). Therefore, please also include the “Pack” information with a quantitative value in the value mapping. The name of the specific unit of measurement itself should not be specified (example: for “3 pieces,” enter the numerical value “3”).

X-05: Pending orders

AboutYou transmits pending orders.

X-06: Partial deliveries

Partial cancellations and partial deliveries on article level.

X-07: Commission group

AboutYou does not use commission groups.

X-08: Service logos

AboutYou will not display service logos you transfer in the shop.

X-09: Error and status messages

AboutYou does not provide error and status messages.

X-10: Templates

At AboutYou you cannot use templates.

X-11: Text configurator

The text configurator cannot be used for AboutYou.

X-12: Product text profile

Product text profiles cannot be used for AboutYou.

X-13: Title profile

You can use title profiles to configure the product titles shown in the channel's shop. For more information on title profiles, click here.

ATTENTION:
For <%CHANNEL%>, there is no limit on the length of the title; however, you must strictly follow the guidelines of the title profile. This specifies that product titles must follow the format “Category Name ‘Product Name’”, with the category name and product name enclosed in quotation marks (e.g., Light Jacket ‘Reinhold’). To avoid jeopardizing the export to the channel, you should never make changes to the title profile without consulting your Solution Delivery Manager.

X-14: Cross prices

You can indicate cross prices for AboutYou by filling in the field MSRP.
 
Always indicate prices in the channel currency including VAT (gross prices). It is mandatory to enter a value in the column "RP". However, the channel does not use this value as a retail price but treats it as a recommended price (MSRP) and uses it to calculate the purchase price. AboutYou will determine the retail price shown in the shop. You can, additionally, transmit price reductions which may be used to display cross-prices in the shop (crossed out former prices). To do so, you need to enter a value in the field "MSRP" that is higher than the value in the field "RP". TB.One then transmits the value from "MSRP" to the channel along with a percentage calculated from the difference between MSRP and RP (price reduction value). AboutYou will still determine theretail price shown in the shop and treat the price reduction value as a recommendation for creating a crossprice. Additionally, the reduction is used alongside the MSRP to calculate the purchase price between you and AboutYou.
 

ATTENTION:
In both cases, only one price is exported to AboutYou. If you only provide content in the mandatory field "RP" (case #1), the price is transferred to the channel as the MSRP with a price reduction value of "0". If you additionally provide content in the field "MSRP" (case #2), the MSRP and the calculated price reduction value (difference between MSRP and RP) are transferred to the channel. § Case #1: Only the RP has been provided via TB.One à it is transferred as the MSRP with the price reduction value "0". § Case #2: Both the RP and MSRP have been provided via TB.One à the MSRP and an individual price reduction value (the difference between the RP and the MSRP) are transmitted.

•The fields “Commission Group,” “Channel Cost Price,” and “Previous Retail Price” are not used on AboutYou.

•You cannot set a minimum price and/or a minimum/maximum price reduction for AboutYou.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

 
Specifying Brands on AboutYou

For each brand you want to offer onAboutYou, you must enter a channel-specific export key and a description here. To do this, enter the brand name exactly as you want it to appear in the shop in the “Key” and “Description” fields. Only enter this information for brands that you actually plan to sell on AboutYou.
 
AboutYou Assortment Steering
 
The AboutYou assortment steering

•helps you control your assortment for each individual AboutYou SC country channel.

•allows you to define what part of your assortment goes live on which country channels by selectively de-/activating products and articles.

For AboutYou , there are some best practices for your product deactivation. Decide between the complete deactivation of an article on all AboutYou country channels, or country-specific deactivation.
 

Prerequisite:
Regardless of which of the methods below you choose, always activate new products/articles for the AboutYou and at least one country channel. Products/articles must always remain activated on main channel level.

•Newly created articles: Control them by default via product/article activation.

•Existing articles: Deactivate your products/articles on a channel-specific basis, or remove the corresponding prices on a AboutYou country channel.

 

•Channel-specific product/article deactivation
Deactivate all country channels on product/article level.

•Country channel-specific deactivation
Deactivate a specific country channel on the product/article.

•Deactivation via prices
If you remove all prices for all country channels, this will lead to a complete deactivation. Remove the prices for a specific country channel to steer the assortment country-specific.

•Deactivation via stock: You can deactivate an article for all country channels, when you set the stock to "0" for AboutYou.
