Media (Marketplace Integration)

Provide images of your products and articles to create attractive and detailed offers in the channel’s web shop.

1.Open the product list (“Articles > Product list”).

2.Click on a product number to open the respective product.

3.Switch to the “Media” tab. Here you can add images to the product and its articles.

The Difference Between Product and Article Media

Product media are used for all articles/variants of a product. Article media are only used for a subset of variants or a single variant.

EXAMPLE:
You sell a t-shirt that is available in white and blue. You upload images of these variants. With the checkboxes you can assign the images to the product’s variants (in this case the white or the blue t-shirt). Images that are not assigned to a variant are product media. In the channel’s webshop, they will be displayed for all articles of the product.

Channel-Specific Media Requirements

Check the channel’s requirements for the number, file format, size, and content of images. These are listed under “F-01: Media” on your Channel Sheet.

If there is a type of image (for example images that show multiple articles) that you only want to use for certain channels, create a new media type for those images (“Basic data > Properties > Media types”). Find further information on media types here.

Channel-specific media settings

Open the menu “Channels > [Your channel] > Settings” and switch to the “Media” tab.

•Use the column “Sorting” to define the order in which media are transferred to the channel. The sorting value increases in increments of ten (10 = first media type, 20 = second media type, 30 = third media type, etc.).

•If the “No export” checkbox is activated, the respective media type will not be exported to the channel.

TIP:
You can block the export at “Channels > [Your channel] > Settings” on the “Media” tab, or at “Basic data > Properties > Media type”. The effect is the same.
