The Art. 50 of the EU AI Act requires marketplaces to inform their end customers when they are viewing or interacting with AI-generated content on their platform.
Who is responsible for what?
Complying with these transparency rules is a shared effort. To comply with this law:
•As a content provider, you’re responsible for declaring AI-generated content you export to the channels. Marketplaces will increasingly require this information so they can correctly label the media for end consumers.
•Marketplaces are responsible for ensuring AI-generated content is correctly labeled to end consumers on their platform. Therefore, they will introduce specific requirements on how you need to submit this information.
Check the marketplaces’ individual requirements: We strongly recommend to check each marketplace’s guidelines to ensure you provide the necessary data for them to label your media correctly.

The law applies to all AI-generated content, such as images and videos.
We strongly encourage you to monitor updates from marketplaces directly to stay up to date on new requirements, and check out their accessibility guidelines to ensure your media is compliant.

Creating media types
If a marketplace requires specific media to label AI-generated content, you can create new media types in TB.One to export channel-specific images and videos.
Preservation of your metadata
TB.One automatically preserves common metadata (including EXIF, XMP) during imports and exports. If you correctly marked your media before the upload, TB.One transmits your metadata to the channels with the exports.
IMPORTANT: To get your metadata exported to marketplaces, you may need to re-import affected content (such as images), that was originally uploaded to TB.One before 22 July, 2026. Currently, it is not necessary to re-import media that was live before the law came effective. New media content needs to comply with the AI act and are exported with the respective meta data. We strongly advice to check updates from marketplaces directly to stay up to date on new requirements. |
As a content provider, you are responsible for following all requirements and guidelines marketplaces require to comply with the EU AI Act.
This may include:
•Ensuring your media is correctly marked before the upload to TB.One
•Adapting your media to the marketplace’s requirements (image size, watermarks, …)
