How to Solve the "Mandatory Component/Attribute Missing" Error

Description

This error means that the product or article is missing a piece of information that is mandatory for the target marketplace. Without this piece of information, the product and its articles cannot be exported.

Solution

Ensure that the product/article contains all mandatory information and check whether it is mapped correctly for the target channel.

Identify and Add the Missing Product Data

1.Go to "Articles > Article error hub".

2.Find the error message and check the "See Details" actions. It shows the name of the component or attribute you must provide in your product/article data.

3.Open the affected product or article.

4.Check whether the component/attribute that causes the error is already assigned to the product/article.

5.If the component/attribute is missing, assign it to the product/article and provide a value for it.

Verify the Value Assignment

If the component/attribute is already assigned to the affected product/article and you still see the error, the reason is that the value mapping is not complete.

1.Go to the affected channel's value mapping menu ("Channels > [Your channel] > Value mapping").

2.In the left column, open the global mapping or the affected product's channel category.

TIP:
If you use both global and category-specific value mapping, category-specific mappings override global mappings in the export.

3.In the middle column, find and select the channel property to which the component/attribute identified in the error detail description of the Article Error Hub is assigned.

4.In the right column, ensure that your product's component/attribute value is assigned to a corresponding channel value.

5.Save your settings.
