TB.One > Setup, Configuration & User Accounts > Dynamic Storage Management > DEFAULT SETTINGS FOR BIN LOCATIONS
You need to configure a default bin location for incoming goods and returns. Decide if these bin locations can be directly used for consignment. Depending on this choice, use either an internal warehouse/bin location or one to which a channel is assigned:
NO CONSIGNMENT FROM INCOMING GOODS/RETURNS |
DIRECT CONSIGNMENT FROM INCOMING GOODS/RETURNS |
|---|---|
If you do not want incoming goods/returns to be consigned directly, choose a bin location that is assigned to an internal storage facility as the default. |
If goods in the bin location for incoming goods/returns should be eligible for consignment, use a bin location from a storage facility with assigned channels. This bin location will then also be shown on pick lists, if any of the ordered goods are located there. |
Adjust the settings in the section "Default storage compartments" at "Basic data > Storage > Warehouse settings" according to your choice. For both "Goods receipt" and "Incoming returns" you can choose among all bin locations you have created. Confirm your settings by clicking the "Save" button on the bottom left.
The returns bin location set here is also valid for the Scan Desktop. It can also be viewed at "Admin > System settings > Order processing" in the section "Menu item Scan Desktop".

The option" Book return quantity automatically in stock at scanning" is always active for dynamic storage management, whether the box is checked or not. If the returns bin location is changed here, it also changes at "Basic data > Storage > Warehouse settings" and vice versa. It is not possible to assign a separate bin location for Scan Desktop returns.
