TRANSLATIONS IN TB.ONE - OVERVIEW

TB.One offers several options for the translation of texts for foreign channels. They can be used to translate all existing product and article texts, either in-house or via a translation agency. To begin the process, you need to create a new language, then you have several options for translations.

There are two principle ways for translating in TB.One: translating on the product level or cross-product text module translation. Decide whether manual translations or translations via import are more suitable for your work flow. Tradebyte recommends choosing one of the two options and using that option consistently. These two ways are not entirely independent from each other, but the possibilities for exchanging translations between the two methods are limited.

The translation process is detailed on the following pages:

THE TRANSLATION PROCESS IS DETAILED ON THE FOLLOWING PAGES:

2. Translations on the product level

3. Text module translation (cross-product)

TB.One offers the possibility to provide text module-specific translations which are valid across all products. The global translation tool can be found at "Articles > Translation > Manage text modules".

Here, you can supply texts from your products and articles, filter text modules by different criteria, unlock them for translation, import and export translations and translate the texts. One text module usually corresponds to a field in the product data. Nevertheless, if a field contains multiple paragraphs (e.g. product description), each paragraph will have its own text module. This text module recognition cannot be configured. Paragraphs will always create individual text modules.
