Media Management - Overview

Marketplaces attach great importance to a detailed presentation of articles in their store. Therefore, you have to provide media (images, pdf files etc.) for all products/articles.

Define media types, which allow the marketplaces to identify different types of media.

Comply with the marketplaces' media requirements. You may need to create new images or edit existing ones.

Be aware of the distinction between product and article media: Media showing the characteristics of a product's variant (such as the colour, e.g. blue) are assigned to the corresponding article / variant (blue) either during the import or using the check boxes on the product's "Media" tab.

If an image is not assigned to a variant, TB.One interprets it as a piece of product media (typically an image showing multiple variants).

You can exclude individual media types from the export to specific channels, or to define a media type for one particular channel (e.g. if the format required by the channel can't be used for any other channel).

TB.One provides a feature for basic image manipulation: detail views can be cropped directly from the images uploaded to TB.One.

You can copy/paste media from one product to another.

TIP:
Generally, images can be provided either by uploading them at the product or by specifying an URL in the import file.
