Basic Configuration and Master Data

Once your TB.One account and at least one channel have been activated, you need to adjust some basic settings, create users and establish a basis for recording product and article data. In the table below, you will find an overview of the necessary steps:

BASIC CONFIGURATION AND BASIC DATA

1. Configure the displayed fields, integrate a logo and personalize TB.One

2. Create user accounts, user roles, and set up mailing lists

3. Set up printers

4. Define default values

5. Provide product-related basic data such as templates, components and brands

6. Prepare multilingual products

7. Provide order-related basic data such as prices, shipping types, payment types

8. Configure basic settings for order processing

Assuming you are a new customer and TB.One is still empty except for the preset content we recommend the following:

Define one or two employees as power users who assume primary responsibility for the administration of TB.One in your company. They should be technically savvy and familiar with product management and commodity groups. They should complete the steps listed below.

Read the page "Connecting TB.One". Read the glossary to familiarize yourself with the terminology.

Work through the pages "Preliminary Considerations Regarding Master Data" and "Preliminary Considerations Regarding Order Processing". Think about the characteristics of your products and articles and how they could be represented in TB.One.

Open TB.One and this documentation simultaneously. Work through the steps listed in the table above one by one (most of them have several sub-pages). Make a note about anything you have difficulties with. When you are finished, contact your onboarding consultant at Tradebyte and examine your configuration and first contents with them.

You should now create at least one product manually (see "Master Data Maintenance in TB.One"). This will help you determine, whether your basic configuration is sufficient.

Decide, whether you want to create your master data manually or prefer to import them. If you decide on using the import, work through the pages "Product Data Maintenance in TB.One", "TB.One Interfaces", "Import Settings in TB.One" and "Export Settings in TB.One".

Prepare your data in accordance with the requirements of the respective method of data import (guide for CSV, guide for TB.CAT/XML)
